Flow of the event:

AGM : The AGM process started with a brief by the outgoing President and Secretary about the achievements of the team in the last tenure. They also described their vision for the future. Followed by that was Presentation of the Annual Accounts (Balance sheet of last tenure) by the outgoing Treasurer, Mr. Praveen Khandelwal.Election Process: The Election process was then conducted under the observation of Election officers: Mr Govind Gurbani & Mr. O.P Mathur.

The new team was elected unanimously. The new Team elected for the year 2017-2020 is as follows:
1.      President : Mr. Rajeev Katta ( Khandelwal Packaging)
2.      Secretary : Mr. Sumit Goel ( Balaji Packaging Industry)
3.      Treasurer : Mr.Gaurav Mangal (Om Pack & Pack Ind)
4.      Sr Vice President: Mr. Shiv Prakash Gupta( Hindustan Offset and Corrugating Ind)
5.      Vice President: Mr. Sukaushal Jain ( Shree Siddhant Sagar Packaging)
6.      Sr. Joint Secretary: Mr Lohit Agarwal ( Linus packaging)
7.      Joint Secretary: Mr. Akhil Khandelwal ( R.R.Packers)
Remaining posts of the Managing Committee shall be nominated in the upcoming Executive Committee Meeting.
GST Seminar: As the need of the hour in present scenario is GST which is the most important topic to be discussed. RCBMA conducted a very successful and informative Seminar on GST by renowned Financial
consultant & C.A Mr Ankit Totuka, which was attended and benefited by the fellow Members. The whole event was followed by Dinner.

2 Day Comprehensive Course on Corrugated Packaging

RCBMA conducted the Two Day Full-Time Comprehensive Course in Corrugated Packaging on 21st and 22nd April 2018 at Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Course received an extraordinary response from the Association Member and Non-Members both from all over the Rajasthan. There were 78 enrolments from Rajasthan after which we had to close our registrations.
This Course was organized under the aegis of the Seminar & Workshop Sub-Committee of FCBM and supported by the RCBMA Workshop Committee. The RCBMA Workshop Committee spent a lot of their valuable time in deciding the study topics, faculty involvement, preparation of study material.
RCBMA got lucky to have the amazing trio of Mr Ram Kumar Sunkara, Mr Bhaskar Reddy and Mr Sanjay Bothra to enlighten us with their exemplary knowledge and vast experience of this industry. Our Workshop Committee did an amazing job by selecting topics which were most useful to the type of Corrugating Industry of Rajasthan and preparing a Course Book which is a priceless collection for any Corrugator of Rajasthan.
Topics such as adhesive quality, properties of paper, printing, inventory management, compression strength, profitability were all close to the heart of the participants. Each topic generated a lot of questions by the participants which were more than happily answered by the Faculty. Special thanks to the Faculty who made an extra effort in conducting the course in the local language so that it was easily understandable by all the members.
Day 1 started with Inaugural Speech by our President, Shri Rajeev Katta followed by few encouraging words by our very own FCBM VP 2 Shri V.K. Dewan. Soon the esteemed Faculty took over the mike and the participants were by the basics of corrugation industry they practically never used. Mr Ram Kumar Sunkara and Mr Bhaskar Reddy made sure that they wipe out every misconception that the participants had and encouraged them to come at par with the latest technology. Lunch and High Tea was also spent by the participants discussing the concepts introduced by the speakers during the sessions. After a mind-boggling day, it was time to break and prepare for the next day.
Next day started with the welcome of our FCBM President Shri Pradip Bosmaya who specially travelled to Jaipur to attend this session and encourage the participants with his esteemed presence. He attended the whole session and often shared his knowledge and experiences on the topics discussed on the 2nd day. Mr Sanjay Bothra and Mr Ram Kumar Sunkara deliberated on the specific problems typical to semi-automatic plants owned by the majority of the participants. At the end of the day, a test was undertaken to check what our participants were taking back from the course. The highest scorers were awarded by the President.
At the end of the sessions, the feedback was sought from the participants who appreciated the efforts and acknowledged that they were going back as a better corrugator. Special appreciation was given to the next generation of corrugators who attended the course. They agreed that this course has given them a very good foundation before they enter the industry to look after their family business and will make sure that they bring the changes to keep up with the changing times. FCBM MC Meeting 2017

The 2nd Managing Committee of FCBM for the year 2017-18 was organized on 10-11th February at Hotel Holiday Inn, Jaipur. RCBMA was the host of the event. This MC Meeting witnessed an unprecedented attendance of more than 60 members from all over the country.

Preceding the Managing Committee Meeting, a Technical Seminar cum Exhibition was held for the benefit of the RCBMA and FCBM members present.

Shri Manohar Shetty made a presentation on GST and its implications on the Corrugated Industry.

Shri Ram Kumar Sunkara enlightened the audience with the importance of RCT, COBB and BS in a corrugated box.

FCBM President Mr Greesh Sardana launched the new logo and website of RCBMA with this event. RCBMA also felicitated its members for the exemplary work done by them for RCBMA.

This event was attended by more than 70 RCBMA members and around 60 FCBM members. Around 17 sponsors displayed their products in the exhibition.

The Seminar was followed by a musical performance by a Rajasthan Gypsy band which was enjoyed thoroughly by the audience. Cocktail and dinner followed.

 

Seminar Jodhpur

RCBMA has grown at a steady pace in the last year and is planning various activities to reach out to its members more frequently. In this process, RCBMA organized a technical seminar for the benefit of all its members in Jodhpur on 19th March 2016. The event was managed by the Jodhpur Region of RCBMA. Mr Ambuj Jain (Vice President, Jodhpur Region, RCBMA) and Mr Puneet Kothari (Joint Secretary, RCBMA) led an enthusiastic team for organizing this seminar. Around 100 members from all over the Rajasthan attended the event. RCBMA invited Mr Ram Kumar Sunkara  & Mr Bhaskar Reddy to enlighten its members on the following topics:-

  • A Step towards Semi-automatic corrugated Plant
  • Effective ways of using Corrugation & Pasting gum
  • How to dry box in one hour in normal plant
  • Optimal adhesive solutions for manual plant

 

The event started with a welcome address by Mr Rajeev Katta (President, RCBMA) who thanked all those present for their participation in huge numbers and active support. He briefly described the activities of RCBMA in the recent past and plans for the immediate future. He also encouraged all the non-members to join RCBMA and members to more actively participate in RCBMA.

This was followed by an announcement of hosting FCBM 4th Managing Committee meeting in the month of September’2016 in Jaipur by Mr Sumit Goel (Secretary, RCBMA) and a word of advice by Mr V.K. Dewan (Advisor, RCBMA).

Mr Bhaskar Reddy spoke about the usage of gum and its importance in the corrugation industry. Mr Ramkumar Sunkara deliberated on the profitability and future of our industry. All the members actively participated in the technical discussion with the speakers and were definitely enlightened by the knowledge, facts and ideas shared by both the speakers. Members were delighted to get knowledge about new machines, new technologies on raw material, idea on how to reduce cost and how to prepare for the future. There were a lot of queries by many members for both the speakers which were very well attended.

The technical seminar was ended by a vote of thanks and felicitation of the speakers, senior members and the organizing committee.

The seminar was followed by a cocktail and dinner which everyone enjoyed with the T20 match between India and Pakistan.
